Take a bike ride on one of our five mountain or eight titanium bikes, or stay low-tech and take a walk on the country roads around Bibbiano. The Borgo is ideally located as a base for hiking and biking excursions, as many excellent options extend immediately from our front door. A morning walk around local castles, the Ombrone River, and fields of grapevines can take as little as thirty minutes and as long as two hours. For those interested in covering a greater distance, we have assembled a collection of itineraries with maps, difficulty ratings, and suggested stopping points for beautiful vistas or restorative meals.
Assemble a group of up to four fellow adventurers for a hot air balloon ride... silently floating over olive groves, vineyards, medieval towns and stunning countryside, experiencing from above one of the most beautiful areas in Italy.
"Absolutely perfect setting for our extended family reunion, in particular the athletic facilities everyone enjoyed together: swimming and games in the pool (“Marco…Polo” never seemed so fitting); spirited bocce games; tennis and basketball; hikes and bike rides on country roads; and – after a good workout on one of the many cardio machines in the gym – my own guilty pleasure: the massage chair followed by the steam room. Glorious.” - John Murnane, Newton, MA
